This vase comes from the palace of the recently deceased Empress Dowager in Peking.It was made in the Qianlong Dynasty (1736-96 A.D.) in the factory of Konan-yas in the reign of Emperor Qianlong.
The very important work of Bishop Favier of the Jesuit mission in Petan in Peking who worked there for 30 years,wrote about this type of porcelain:This is an extremely rare vase and a copy of the ancient Song vases made under Qianlong.
The small yellow paper on the bottom with Chinese characters gives the number and description in the inventory registry.
